Specializing in locally grown food

Explore the menu

Kyra Vail is the founder and creative force behind Alpenglow Kitchen, where she specializes in local, seasonal cooking and thoughtfully customized menus.

Whether she’s preparing high-protein meals for athletes, plant-based dishes for conscious eaters, or family dinners designed to bring everyone to the table.

From homemade bread to fresh-pressed juices, every offering from Alpenglow Kitchen reflects Kyra’s belief that food should be personal, seasonal, and deeply connected to where it comes from—built on relationships with local farmers and a respect for ingredients at their peak.

How it Works:

1. Menu Design

We start with a collaborative menu tailored to your gathering—seasonal, produce-driven, and designed around your cravings, dietary needs, and group style. Every menu is customized and sourced with intention.

Once your menu, guest count, and date are finalized, your booking is confirmed with a 50% deposit.
Deposits are fully refundable up to 30 days prior should plans change. Because ingredients are sourced in advance, this secures your date and allows for thoughtful planning.

2. Personal Touches & Add-Ons

This is where the experience really comes to life. Optional add-ons can be layered in to elevate the evening or weekend:

  • Seasonal florals and table styling

  • Hand-crafted cocktails or mocktails

  • Wine pairing guidance

  • Breakfast, brunch, or weekend meal prep

  • Additional passed appetizers

3. The Day Of

I arrive 4-5 hours before your scheduled dining time to prepare, set the table, and cook on-site. From there, everything is taken care of.

You get to relax, sip, and enjoy your guests while dinner unfolds.
When the evening ends, your kitchen is left spotless—as if nothing happened, except a great meal.

4. Fees, Gratuity & Final Notes

  • A $200 flat overhead fee applies to all bookings
(Covers menu planning, grocery shopping, prep time, setup, and full kitchen cleanup)

  • Gratuity is always appreciated and never expected
Many guests choose to take care of this in advance so the night stays focused on hosting and connection.

  • For groups of 8+ guests, an 20% service charge may apply
(Common for larger groups, bachelorettes, and weekend events)

5. Word of Mouth

Most of my bookings come from referrals and shared experiences. If you loved your meal, reviews, recommendations, and social media tags mean the world and help support this small, seasonal business.
